Hey, don't forget about our September sketch contest, here at AllyScraps!! You get to work with this awesome sketch from Debbie Gaydos. Hope you're working on your entry right now!
Of course, I used Debbie's sketch right away! I made this super easy layout, using the Echo Park Happy Halloween collection. This paper is SO cute, and perfect for all your ghostly layouts and Halloween projects. I especially liked using the fun sticker elements. Did you notice how I used the sketch for inspiration, but didn't follow it exactly? Instead of putting it at the top, I incorporated the banner into my title. I put my 3 photos in a line instead of where they were on the sketch, and I moved my title too. I find that sketches are a great way to get my project started quickly, but I love to add my own creative touches too. Here's what I came up with.
There are just a few rules for our contest. Make a layout using Debbie's awesome sketch as inspiration. You can flip it, turn it, mirror image it... just use the sketch to inspire your layout. Finish your project and e-mail the image (less than 500 kb please)to us by Sunday, September 19th at midnight Eastern time. We will choose a winner soon after. Send it to allyscraps@gmail.com. Love this cute prize, a lovely BIG card making kit by We R Memory Keepers just in time for fall. The Maple Grove collection, it's awesome!
Well, have fun making layouts, and good luck!! Oh, and be sure to scroll down to see some awesome new projects from Melissa Phillips, Cari Fennell and Roree Rumph. I will be away scrapping for the weekend, BUT, I will be back on Monday with more amazing projects. Stay tuned. :) Dana
